Francisco Hernandez

Happy to have you onboard Francisco, could you give a short description of of your background

Over 20 years experience in all aspects of business management and development, from founding country offices in Spain for multinationals, devising business and sales strategies and maximising revenues, managing sales teams and international accounts, to harnessing team strengths to achieve growth targets.

Your experience within the startup Industry?
My first step into the start-up world was in 2004 when I joined a travel portal startup as Commercial Director and then moved in to opening Spanish Country Offices for multinationals from zero. I have also worked as a mentor for Startups using my first hand experience in strategy, expansion, team building and sales & marketing.

Your thoughts on the Spanish market?
This is a very exciting time for the startup ecosystem in Spain with investment in the first Q of 2021 exceeding the whole of 2020. Madrid and Barcelona are the main hubs but Valencia and Bilbao are also investing in strategy and infrastructure so make Spain an leading startup country in Europe. The Spanish government are also finalising a "StartUp law" to incentivise investment and incentify talent to come to or stay in Spain.

What experience you will share and bring to JOHOC?
As a co-founder of various companies in the Spanish market, with over 20 years experience, I fully understand the journey and challenges faced by startups, from conception of an idea to making it a reality and growing a business. My profile is very commercial and entrepreneurial so its all about looking for solutions to challenges. Experience also brings a wealth of contacts in various sectors that will compliment JOHOC's business model and strategy.

Thank you, and again happy to have you on board
