We meet up with Mikael Abrahamsson, JOHOC Groups new Country Manager for Sweden, that will join in October 2024, to get to know him better, and to get his view on the Swedish market.

Q: Please shortly describe you background

I have a long background as a leader in sales and marketing and have worked for almost 20 years in the media industry. The last 6 years before joining JOHOC, I was in different SaaS-companies as a sales manager and Country Manager. I have also been involved in a few start ups. My educations is an MBA from Stockholm University, with 6 months at UNSW in Sydney, Australia.

Q: How would you describe the Swedish market?

The Swedish market is quite tech savvy and an early adaptor in many areas. It is a market where the inhabitants are quite well off, financially, and the capitol, Stockholm, quite trendy/trend aware.

Q: Which are the main advantages as you see it expanding to Sweden?

Technologically advanced, good economy, high purchasing power, tech savvy population, consciousness when it comes to environment and sustainability, high quality work force that are well educated with strong expertise in areas such as IT and life science. It is often seen as a Scandinavian hub with closeness to expand further in the region, and part of the EU. Government supportive of foreign startup companies and the market is culturally open and diverse.

Q: What can we expect to happen in the near future at JOHOC Group in Sweden?

Getting business running ASAP, so JOHOC can start up the legal company and get an office up and running. From there you can expect firm growth with new JOHOC employees.

Q: Who would you like to come in contact with and why?

I would like to come in contact with investors and people from different industries with great networks, because I believe that JOHOC can help startups with funding and the future of success is a gig-economy where you help each other in a network to succeed and get new business
